Halloween Safety @home

It’s almost Halloween. That time of year when the kids love to get out and get candy from the neighbors, friends and family. Also, since this is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCASM), I thought it would be prudent to think about safety at home this Halloween.

Some things that we can do to keep our children safe during Halloween:

Decorate costumes and bags with reflective tape or stickers
Have kids use glow sticks or flashlights to help them be seen by passing automobiles.
Children under 12 should not be alone at night without adult supervision.
Be alert while driving Halloween night, especially between 5:30 pm and 9:30 pm.

Be safe and happy Halloween.
